FAQ
Do you Travel / do any work out of state? How does it work?
Of course! New York City based, but love to travel. Will go wherever you are. I book my own accommodations / transportation, and take care of the rest of the logistics (all you have to worry about is covering the total rate). Trust me when I say, I'm the scrappiest traveler you've known - will ALWAYS get costs as low as possible.
I want some film from my shoot/event!
Yes - my type of people! Film can absolutely be an addition to digital photos at your shoot (for an add-on price). Want film photos ONLY? Let's talk!
How long have you been doing this?
Professionally since 2016, but really since forever! Remember always taking pictures even as a kid with my first basic point and shoot. Have always been enamored with remembering the moments and capturing emotions.
Do you shoot weddings?
Yes I do! Would love to chat about capturing this marker milestone for you. Would be such an honour to be invited into this special day of yours!
How many photos do we get?
Depends on type of shoot, but I am constantly snapping away - you'll get plenty, trust me! For portraits, I'll never send less than 200 (minimum), and usually 250+ will be included in your gallery. Often times feels like a billion! Also pro-more the merrier.
How do we get our photos?
You will get your full album delivered via online gallery (high-quality deliverables, high pixel download capabilities, and abilities for printing as well). Will shoot you a link via email/text as soon as they are ready!
How would you describe your aesthetic?
My editing style is first and foremost photojournalistic - I always hope to be the observer and the noticer. I try to augment light and colour, have a focus on images that are deeply emotive, and love keeping a clean, minimal, timeless, and editorial look as much as possible. I'm drawn to neutral, natural tones (but love a good pop of colour here and there!)
How do we book you?
Please fill out the inquiry form on my 'About' page! We will be in touch very soon.
What are your prices?
Please check out all in depth info on pricing, packages, and all things process on my 'Investment' page!
What's your turn around time?
Portraits (branding, lifestyle, families, couples) galleries will be delivered in up to 2 weeks, 3 weeks maximum. I make sure to edit thoughtfully so you get my best! Sneak peeks can be sent 1-2 days after the shoot upon request (I usually always do this for proposals).
Do you retouch photos?
I will always tromp the extra mile in earnest attempt to remove anything taking away from you (the subject) in a photo, or anything annoying in the background of photos (like excess strangers, telephone poles, trash on the ground, signage etc). Especially shooting in New York City, people in the background are usually inevitable, so I will always do my best. I think this part in post is valuable, as I care about making your photos to be as best as possible!
Can we edit your photos again, once we receive them?
I please ask that you don't! I work hard and put my heart in the editing process to be able to provide the best of the best for you - I politely ask that you don't edit over my edits. I try to best give you an idea of my edit style beforehand so that we're on the same page! If you have any feedback or issues with your photos, please get in touch with me and I will gladly assist.
SOS - I feel a little shy in front of the camera. can you help with posing?
Of course! I'll always want time spent together to feel like time spent with an old friend. I want you to feel the most yourself, and as comfortable as possible. My job is to help put you at ease and be an encouraging presence - mostly bring out the beauty that is within yourself already (just pulling out what everyone else/I am seeing in you!) Happy to help with little pointers, or give light instruction on posing, or just straight up let you do your thing. It'll be fun, I promise!
What should we wear?
Happy to help with wardrobe or palette suggestions, if that is helpful! I would usually suggest neutral or solid colours, and to not wear a ton of different patterns (to avoid clashing).
